Sales Training and Coaching Based on… ExperienceAssistant Attorney General and Purchasing Director for State of Arkansas Peggy O’Neal graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Law at Fayetteville in 1975 and quickly took the position of staff attorney for the firm of Dobbs, Pryor & Barry in Fort Smith, Arkansas working with the soon-to-be Attorney General, Bill Clinton. She was an Assistant Attorney General advising numerous state boards and agencies, including legal advising on contract management and writing rules and regulations for selected agencies. Negotiated Powerful Xerox™ Contract When Bill Clinton became Governor, Peggy O’Neal was appointed Purchasing Director for the State of Arkansas, where she was responsible for more than $100 million of purchases. In that position, she became an expert buyer, negotiating contract terms and leases with vendors and state agencies. Peggy O’Neal was the first (and may be the only) person that ever accomplished having Xerox change the terms of its standard contract so they could do business with the State. International Experience and Actual Management Experience Peggy also worked in private practice for many years before changing careers and becoming a master trainer and coach. Peggy has led workshops in sales, leadership and coaching for more than 8,000 people in the United States, Canada, Hong Kong and Russia. She has coached hundreds of individuals, sales professionals, managers, coaches and executives. She also managed a turn-around situation while working for a training organization in New York City. She has held high-level management positions and has served on several nonprofit Boards of Directors. Experience in Federal Government As previously mentioned, Peggy worked with Bill Clinton while in Arkansas. When Bill Clinton was president, Peggy O’Neal also worked in the Clinton administration in Washington, D.C. She trained labor and management how to have honest conversations while on the staff of the Federal Labor Relations Authority.
